A multifunctional art center in Daugavpils — Mark Rothko's birthplace — that runs an annual international painting symposium within its residency framework. Ten professional artists are selected each year for a roughly two-week residency. Participation is free; artists cover travel to Daugavpils and donate at least two works created on site to the museum collection.
