One of the most prestigious fellowships in the arts and humanities. Each year the Rome Prize is awarded to about 30 artists and scholars for a half-term (five months) or full-term (about eleven months) on the Academy's campus on the Janiculum hill in Rome. Fellows receive a stipend ($16,000 half-term / $30,000 full-term), room, board, and a study or studio. Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. The annual deadline is November 1; the portal opens in August.
